Thank You for Going Grey Your Way
During the month of May more than 20,000 people at schools and workplaces across Victoria, and interstate, took part in Go Grey in May.
Previously known as Brain Week, this was our first year of Go Grey in May and it was a resounding success! We encouraged participants to host their own events to raise awareness, encourage healthy and fun brain-engaging activities, and raise much-needed funds for a fantastic cause.
Our motto is Go Grey Your Way, and we loved seeing all the ways you celebrated during the month.
Here are some of our highlights from the month.
Go Grey Casual Day
It’s the comfiest casual clothes day of the year! Check out all the looks from Medfin, Rosebud Primary School, Firbank Grammar and Haileybury.
Brainy breakfasts and morning tea
Monash University, Caulfield Grammar and Adobe nourished their brains with delicious food.
Other brainy activities
Haileybury students got their noggins ticking with a Rubiks Cube challenge, Caulfield Grammar had a special visit from Lisa McCune and the Today Show, while Buxton Construction, Metalbird, Charlie Carrington from Atlas and X participated in lots of fun awareness-raising initiatives.
birdbrain
Our online trivia game, birdbrain (only available during the month of May) raised over $30,000!
Thank you to every single one of you who celebrated our first year of Go Grey in May. Your support means the world to us and young people facing brain cancer.
