Claire Maree

FUNDRAISER SPOTLIGHT: Claire Maree

How did you first hear about the RCD Foundation?

I’d heard of Connor’s Run and looked into the foundation!

Has anyone you know been impacted by brain cancer?

My godfather died of brain cancer.

Why did you decide to participate in the Noosa Triathlon?

It combines two of my passions: triathlon and my love for medicine and research!

Can you tell us a little about your training schedule?

I am originally from the NT and a member of the Darwin Triathlon Club, so I trained with club members and solo while at home however, I have been interstate for the past 2.5 months on uni placements. During this time I have been fortunate to be participate in training with the Adelaide, Perth and North Shore Tri Clubs.

What are some of your hobbies?

I enjoy taking our dogs camping and getting away from the hustle and bustle of the real world.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with us?

I feel so blessed to be competing at Noosa Tri in honour of the RCD foundation and all the families/children the research strives to change the lives of.
