The numbers are scary. For those who come through brain tumour treatment, 90% are left with lifelong physical or mental impairments. With this and Connor’s love of things like latin, chess, puzzles, spelling correctness and maths in mind, it was a no brainer for us to get involved in Educational Development.
Our vision is to support patients with during rehab to help sharpen the mind again. Already schools and young people have gotten behind brain matters projects. It’s in this area, where education initiatives can be supported by both students and their education institutions.
We’re still brainstorming all the details, but our first initiatives will be rolling out in April 2014.
