Brainy Breakfast 2021

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our Brainy Breakfast on Thursday 13 May.

And a very special thanks to our inspiring researchers: A/Prof Misty Jenkins, Dr Jason Cain and Dr Pratiti (Mimi) Bandopadhayay for sharing with us their exciting news from the frontline of paediatric research. They are providing such great hope.

And speaking of the frontline, we don’t think there was a dry eye in the house after Georgia Maguire’s heart-warming performance of her self-penned song about the strength she needed in her battle with brain cancer. Thank you Georgia for sharing your journey with us, you’re an inspiration.

We are also very appreciative that the Victorian Health Minister, the Hon Martin Foley MP, was able to attend and speak so thoughtfully.

To our Brain Trust member, Michael Kantor and regular donor, Ben Stonier, both of whom are “Keepers” in all senses of the word, we thank you for sharing your donor experience and for your on-going support.

We also can’t thank our generous donors and supporters enough. Without you, breakthroughs, such as those Misty reported today, wouldn’t be possible. You are game a changer, having a direct impact on the lives of kids like gorgeous Georgia.
