Liz’s Journal
Connor was diagnosed with an anaplastic ependymona brain tumor in December, 2011. He had surgery Dec 16, 2011. The surgery and brain tumor left him impaired on the right side of his body with serious short term memory deficits. After 9 weeks of hospital and rehab stays he came home. In March 2012 he began 6 weeks of intensive radiation to his head & spine which ended early May. Since mid June he has been rehabbing well but a MRI showed on November 12 that the tumor had spread to other parts of his brain. He will now require chemo.

“The Guard of Honour was AMAZING…so many boys (and girls), so quiet! The Big Band is playing as Connor played the saxophone in the Concert Band and Big Band for years. We felt it gave it a New Orleans feel which Connor would have loved.”
